Terms of Service — ChidChat

ChidChat is a chat app for field-service teams, with a job-handover feature. By using it you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, please do not use the app. Personal data is covered by the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

1. Your account and your age

• You must be 13 or older, and if you are under the age of majority you need a parent or guardian's consent first.
• One account is one person. Accounts may not be sold, rented, shared or transferred.
• Give accurate details, and keep your password, OTP codes and 2FA secret to yourself.
• We ask you to verify a phone number to keep fake accounts and scammers out. An account with no verified number within the period the app shows (currently 5 days) is deleted along with its chats and files. The deadline is always shown in the app first.

2. Your content

The messages, photos, videos, files and handover documents you create remain yours. We claim no ownership, and we neither sell them nor use them for advertising. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service — to store, transmit, display and back up that content. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already delivered to other people as described in section 6.

You must have the right to what you upload; uploading someone else's work without permission breaks these terms.

3. What is not allowed, ever

We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Do not use ChidChat to:

• harass, threaten, bully or spread hatred against any person or group;
• share sexually explicit material, or any material involving the abuse of children;
• promote violence, terrorism or self-harm;
• defraud, scam, impersonate anyone, gamble, or sell anything illegal;
• spam, send bulk unwanted messages, or distribute malware or harmful links;
• publish other people's private information without their permission;
• attack the service, probe it for weaknesses, use bots, or work around its limits;
• break Thai law or any law that applies to you.

4. Reporting, blocking, and what we do about it

• Report a public post from inside the app, on that post's comment screen.
• Block a user from a chat, from your contacts, or from the public feed — a blocked person can no longer reach you.
• For anything the in-app buttons do not cover, write to admin@chidchat.com.
• We review reports and remove violating content and eject the users responsible within 24 hours.
• Public posts are screened automatically for text and links before they appear. ⚠️ Screening helps; it is not a guarantee that everything is caught.

5. AI features

The AI features (chat summaries, link summaries, receipt reading, post screening) require your consent before first use and send only the content the request is about, as described in the Privacy Policy. AI output can be wrong. Do not rely on it as legal, medical or financial advice, and check it before acting on it.

6. Storage, and how data is deleted

• Every account gets a free allowance and can buy more; the profile screen always shows what you are using.
• If you go over your quota the app warns you and gives you a grace period (currently 7 days from the day you went over). If you are still over when it ends, the oldest files are deleted first, only as far as needed to fit — never everything, including files other people can see in a chat. A deadline the app has already shown you is never brought forward.
• You can delete your account yourself under Profile → Delete account. Messages you sent stay with the people you sent them to (detached from your account) because the conversation is theirs too, and handover documents already delivered stay with the customer.
• Deleted files cannot be recovered. Keep your own copy of anything that matters.

7. Payment and refunds

• The price that applies is the one shown on screen when you buy. Pro plans and storage packs are auto-renewable subscriptions, bought and billed through the App Store or Google Play. They renew and charge automatically at the end of each term unless you turn off renewal before that term ends. You can cancel at any time in that store's account settings, and access continues to the end of the term you have already paid for.
• Payments are not refundable except where the law requires it. You may stop using the service at any time, but the remainder of a term is not refunded.
• Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play follow that store's own refund rules and must be requested from the store.
• If prices change, the change applies to future purchases only, never retroactively to a term you have paid for.
• If we close your account for breaking these terms, the remainder is not refunded.

8. Suspension and closure

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or harms other people. For serious cases — child sexual abuse material, or fraud — we act immediately and without notice, and may pass information to the authorities as the law requires. If you think we have got it wrong, write to admin@chidchat.com.

9. Limits of our liability

We intend the service to work well, but it is provided "as is", without a warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. ChidChat is not an emergency service — do not use it in place of calling the emergency services. We are not responsible for content other users send or post, and to the extent the law allows, our liability to you will not exceed what you paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you.

10. Changes to these terms

We will announce any significant change in the app before it takes effect and update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Thailand, and the Thai courts have jurisdiction.

12. App licence

When you install ChidChat we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, solely as these terms permit. What you receive is a right to use the app, not ownership of it.

• You may not copy, modify, distribute, resell, rent, reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where the law expressly permits it.
• The app, the ChidChat name, logo and design belong to JPVK Team — your content remains yours, as described in section 2.
• This licence ends when your account is closed under section 8, or when you delete the app and your account.

13. Additional terms for App Store (Apple) users

• These terms are an agreement between you and JPVK Team only — not with Apple — and Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
• If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app (this app is free to download). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation and is not responsible for any other claims relating to the app, including product-liability, consumer-protection and intellectual-property claims.
• Your use of the app must also comply with the App Store Terms of Service. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you directly.
